Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; a son, Frederick H. of Vietnam; four brothers, Hans, George, Claude and Lyle all of South Dakota; three sisters, Signa Greear of Illinois; Laura Smith and Dorothy Bokelheide both of South Dakota.
