He worked at Olin Brass in the primer department for 15 years. He had also been a cook at Marquette State Park.
Robert was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Ward) Baze. He married Rita E. (Dykeman) Baze and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Cary (Susan) of Fieldon, IL, Shawn (Lisa) of Kuttawa, KY, and Robert "Tony" of Hardin, IL; four brothers, Charlie, Jim, Jack and Tim; three sisters, Dorothy, Joella and Geneva; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson.
At his request, the body was cremated.
A memorial dinner was held Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at the Rosedale Methodist Church in Rosedale, IL.
Hanks-Gress Funeral Home in Hardin, IL was in charge of arrangements.
