Harold Baze, 56, died Friday.
Jan. 23, 1998, at Barnes Hospital
in St. Louis.
Born Oct. 29, 1941, in Walkerville,
he was the son of
Charles and Alice (Ward) Baz'c
of Alton.
A U.S. Navy Vietnam War
veteran, he enjoyed fishing
and hunting.
He was a mechanic with thn
Bi-State Development Agency
and a self-employed roofer.
He married the former
Marie Burns on March 23,
1964, in Alton. She survives.
Also surviving arc three
sons, Randy Baze of East
Alton, Monty Baze of St. Louis
and Charles Baze of Cottage
Hills; two daughters, Kihibcrly
Deardeuff of Cottagc.Htils
and Dawn Bricker of Alton; 12
grandchildren, Randy L..
Stephanie, Tiffany, Tyler,
Shany, Joshua and Kristen
Baze, Jeffrey and Kelsy Deafdeuff
and Jesse and Casey
Bricker; five brothers, Charles
Baze of Texas, Robert Baze of
Hardin, Jack Baze of Brighton
and Jim and Tim Baze, both of
Alton; three sisters, Doris
Harribson of Wood -River,
Geneva Duff of Kentucky and
Joella Wyman of Hardin;,and
a very special friend, Nancy
Joann Quigley.
He was preceded in death
by a grandson, Aaron Bricker.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8
p.m. today at Marks Mortuary
in Wood River, where services
will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Wednesday.
Burial will be in Short Cemetery
in Cottage Hills.
