Jess served in the Army during World War II as a technician fifth grade, SCU 1907 Fort Lewis, Washington. He was discharged Sept 1945 due to health reasons.
They had 2 children a daughter Beverly Jean and a son Larry Dale . The family moved to Sulphur Springs Arkansas area in 1950, where both children attended Sulpher Springs School.
Jess worked for Vickers Station, the trailer factory in Noel MO.; Boyd's Garage, Gravette Shelling Plant, and drove the school bus in Sulphur Springs.
He was a also a member of the Sulphur Springs fire department from Aug. 13, 1953 through Sept. 1973. He and his wife Dessie were members of the American Legion and Auxillary in Sulphur Springs.
Jess and Dessie had many friends and loved music. Jess played the guitar.
Jess passed away Aug. 21, 1980 in Gravette Arkansas at the age of 71
They are survived by their two children Beverly Jean and Larry Dale Sanders.
