Virginia Swanson, 59, Great Falls, died in a Great Falls hospital Tuesday morning, May 1, 1984, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 30, 1924 and attended Fort Benton Schools, graduating in 1942 and the University of Montana. She was the daughter of H. and Eileen LaBarre.
She had served as assistant field director of the American Red Cross at Malmstrom and had worked at the state mental health clinic until her retirement in 1983. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Immaculate Conception Church. The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Leona) Carmell; three nephews and one niece.
