John C. L. Summers, 83, formerly of 52 East Avenue, Hagerstown, died at the Washington County Hospital on Tuesday morning.
He was the son of the late Joshua and Mary (Leatherman) Summers of Myersville. For the past seven months he had been living with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Bussard of Middletown.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mussard of Middletown; Mrs. Lewis Brandenburg, Baltimore; Mrs. Mary Keller and Mrs. Emory Bittle, both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Seymore of Middletown and Milton of Myersville.
The body was taken to the Gladhill funeral home in Middletown where services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Dr. Scott R. Wagner of Hagerstown officiating. Interment will be made in the Reformed Cemetery in Middletown.
