Mary Connelly Roberts Passes Monday Morning
Mrs. Mary Connelly Roberts, 67, native of Fort Benton and member of a pioneer family of this area, died Monday morning, Jan. 11, 1971, at a hospital in the Butte area.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:30 in the Immaculate Conception Church with Msgr. John Regan officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mary Connelly was born in Fort Benton, April 29, 1903, the daughter of Martin and Kathryn Connelly. The Connelly family had come to Fort Benton in 1877, Mary Connelly and ten children, from Ireland, and settled on the Shonkin. Mary graduated from Fort Benton High School in 1922. She left Fort Benton about 1925 after her marriage to Ervin Roberts.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Aileen LaBarre, of Fort Benton, and numerous other relatives.
