Port Allegany- William H. Bigley, Sr., 79 of Eldred RD 2, died at home Wednesday afternoon.
He was born May, 18, 1897 in Venus the son of William and Anna VanCamp Bigley. He married the former Ruth Goodman on Nov. 1, 1923. She survives.
He was a retired oil field worker and a 45 yr resident of the vicinity.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Alice Weaver of Decatuer, Ill., Mrs. Shirley Cochran of Eldred, and Mrs. Patricia Drabert of Roulette. Six sons, Charles Bigley of Eldred, Robert Bigley of Smethport, William H. Bigley, Jr of Port Allegany, Wade and Peter Bigley of Eldred and Paul Bigley of Smethport, 12 grandchildred and two great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Liddy Fredericks of Rew and two brothers, Glenn Bigley of Rew and John Bigley of Venus.
Friends may call after 7pm today at the Waller Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2pm Saturday, with the Rev. L.W. Aldrich of the Christian and Mission Alliance Church of Smethport, officiating. Burial will be in the Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
