Edith aka Clara Edith Cripe Holderbaum, daughter of William Franklin Cripe & his wife Esther Elizabeth Barringer Cripe

Edith married Arthur Holderbaum on 13 Jan 1910 in Elkhart County, Indiana. They had 2 children Glen LaMar in 1910 and Fern Pauline in 1914. They moved in 1911 to homestead in North Dakota where she became ill with tuberculosis. They returned to Indiana in 1916.

Clara Edith Holderbaum (nee Cripe) was born Oct. 8, 1891 in Stark County, Ind., and died Nov. 9, 1916 near Wakarusa, aged 25 years, 1 month and 1 day.
She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, a son, a daughter, father, mother, four brothers, five sisters and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
She united with the Church of the Brethren at about the age of sixteen and remained a faithful member until death.
Services at the Olive church by Elders Frank Kreider and Christian Metzler.
