"Mrs. Ethel Grace Porter, 86, of 1320 Rosemont Drive, Knoxville, died Thursday, May 21, at the Meridian Nursing Center, Frederick. She was born July 11, 1900 in Frederick. She is a daughter of the late Harman and Anna Eyler Ahalt. Her husband was the late Charles Levi Porter, who died in 1951. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Merhle E. Ahalt. She was a retired bookkeeper for Shipley Auto Parts in Frederick and past coordinator of the Brunswick Senior Citizens Center. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Brunswick, Maryland. She is survived by one son, Burgess C. Porter, Knoxville, one granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Beckley, of Frederick, one nephew, Harmon J. Ahalt, of Knoxville, two nieces, Pauline Collier Lawson, of Walkersville, and Betty Lou Darr Cavalier, of Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, in Brunswick. Officiating will be the Rev. William Roen. Interment will be in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick."
