Lewis Oldham Adair, Son of Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Oldham) Adair, was born December 1, 1894, in Marceline, Mo, and died January 14, 1977, at Koch Haven Nursing Home, Macon, MO. Services were held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, Jan 17, 1977, at Miller-Tillotson Chapel, conducted by Rev. Edward McLachlan. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline, MO. Mr. Adair is survived by his Wife, Floy, of the home; 2 Daughters, Peggy Prose, of Pryor, Okla. and Mary Armstrong, of Marceline, MO; 1 Son, James Adair, of Lebanon, MO; 1 Brother, Luther Adair, of Marceline, MO; 4 Sisters, Lula Adair, Lucy Duckworth, Lola Medlin, all of Marceline, MO, and Lota Adair, of Kansas City, MO; 6 Grandchildren, Stephen Adair, of Monroe, Iowa, Stephanie Adair Allen, of Lebanon, MO, Gayle Armstrong, of Great Lakes, Ill., Gary Armstrong, of Marceline, MO, Arnetta Prose and Cynthia Prose Troyer, of Pryor, Okla.; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Christopher Armstrong, Kevin Allen, Melissa Adair and Eric Lee Troyer. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Brother, Lawrence; and 1 Granddaughter, Oliva Jean Armstrong. Mr. Adair received a Purple Heart in World War I. He worked at the Marceline Post Office for 35 years.
