John Eggett, 60, died Monday following a lingering illness. He was born in Rochdale, Lancashire, England, January 7, 1873, a son of Thomas and Eliza Wiseman Eggett. He emigrated to Utah with his parents in 1882. In 1898 he was married to Miss Mary Shill. He is survived by his widow and six sons and three daughters. They are: John Eggett, Jr., Salt Lake; Mrs. Thelma Parrell, Ogden; Mrs. Mary Anderson, Russel, Roy, Lily, Cleo, Lloyd and Alvin Eggett of Bountiful; five brothers and sisters, Thomas, Orson Eggett, and Mrs. Lilly Gould, Bountiful; Mrs. Eliza Trumbath, Centerville, and William Eggett, Salt Lake. Funeral services are being held today in the Second ward LDS chapel and burial will be in the Bountiful cemetery.
