"Lucy" was a daughter of James Stephen "Steven" PARTIN (1870-1943) & Sindarilla "Rilla" MANN PARTIN (1879-1952). She married Henry Lankford LASSETER and they had four children together: Lessie "Les", Steven, Doris Jean and Gloria Jane "Janie". "Janie" died in an auto accident in 1960. "Lucy" was married to Howard C. DAVIS for the 39 years prior to her death at Raulerson Hospital at the age of 79. She was buried at her daughter Janie's feet per her longtime request. According to the obituary which appeared in the Okeechobee News, Lucy was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4423 and enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping. She lived north of Okeechobee in the Fort Drum area.
