Grandpa Steve is buried beside Grandma Rilla with a double tombstone to the left as you first enter the main gate of Gandy. Steve Partin was the son of Henry Smith "Junk" Partin & Ruth Jane "Ruthie" Hull Partin. Rilla was Sindarilla Mann, daughter of Benjamin Daniel Mann & his second wife Sindarilla Taylor Mann. Steve was working cattle when the saddle slipped from his horse. He fell off causing internal injury (ruptured bowel). He climbed back on the horse not realizing how injured he was and rode back out to seek medical attention. He went into shock and later died. He was buried on 27 June 1943.
