She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, at Lafayette.
She was born in Lexington, Ky. on April 20, 1887, the daughter of Benjamin and Susan Curry Whitlock and was married to R. Lonnie Atwell on September 10, 1906. He died Feb. 17, 1965.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Audra Myers of Lafayette; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ada Lake of Lafayette, and two brothers, Benjamin Whitlock of Frankfort rt. 7, and Thomas Whitlock of Mulberry rt. 1.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at the Johnson Funeral Home at Mulberry, with Bishop David Glover officiating and burial was in the Wyandotte Cemetery near Dayton.
