Chris Christopher, 65, Retired Farmer, Dies After Long Sickness

Chris Christopher, for the past years nine years a resident of West Lafayette, died at his home, 325 Chauncey avenue, at 8:50 o'clock Friday morning. He had been sick three years and death was due to cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Christopher was born in Tippecanoe county on March 25, 1863, and for many years resided on a farm northwest of Lafayette. He was a member of the West Lafayette Baptist church.

On March 15, 3 893, he married Margaret Vanhouten, who, with two sons, Arthur, of South, Bend, and Walter, of Lafayette, survives. He is also survived by five sisters: Mrs. Minnie Mennen, Mrs. Alice Myers, Mrs. Anna Habben, Mrs. Elizabeth Statton, and Mrs. Catherine Sampson, and four brothers: Herman, William, and Harry Christopher, all of this county, and Amos Christopher, of Cloverdale.

The body was removed to the Soller funeral parlos to be made ready for burial, and may be viewed at the family home after 6 p. m. Saturday.
