Excerpt--Roy O. Winters, 79, Oakland dairyman, who remained unconscious for 18 months after being struck by a car, died yesterday at his home. He was hospitalized for 8 months following the accident before returning to his home. A son of the late William and Martha (Roth) Winters, he was born June 22, 1879 in W.Va. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Winters; two sons, Clayton and Harvey Winters; two daughters, Mrs. Lester Bittinger and Mrs. Howard White, all of Oakland; two brothers, Charles Winters of Horseshoe Run, WV, and A. C. Winters of Mt. Lake Park; one sister, Mrs. Flora Hauser of Horseshoe Run, WV. Interment in the Oakland cemetery.
