Excerpt--Oakland--Charles William Winters, 78, died Saturday at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born in Preston Co., WV on Dec. Dec. 6, 1883, he was a son of the late William and Martha (Roth) Winters. Surviving are his wife, Cora (Christman) Winters; three sons, Cecil R. Winters of Aurora, Herbert F. Winters of Eglon, and Clarence R. Winters of Clarksburg; one sister, Florence Hauser of Eglon; 9 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Interment in St. John's Luthern Church Cemetery.
