JOHNNIE FINLEY
Mrs. Johnnie Satterwhite Finley, 72, of Whitney died Saturday, May 31. She was born January 11, 1931 in Whitney, where she grew up. She moved to Fort Worth in 1952 and worked for Foremost Dairies and Bill McKay Chevrolet before moving back to Whitney in 1968. She married John W. Satterwhite May 20, 1948, and he preceded her in death August 16, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Weldon Boswell. She married Henry L. Finley July 25, 1980. She was a member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church and VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Randy Satterwhite and wife, Carol, of Whitney and Jeff Satterwhite and wife, Vicki, of Laguna Park; one brother, Eldon Boswell of Overton; three sisters, Maxine Williams of Pasadena, Betty Lou Jean of Arlington and Virginia Miller of Lake Livingston; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 2, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney. Memorials may be made to Prairie Valley Baptist Church or Bethlehem Cemetery.
