Mr. Irven Boswell

Mr. Irven Boswell, age 83 of Whitney, died Thursday afternoon, July 12, 1990, in a Clifton hospital. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel, Dr. Allan Lane officiating, burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mr. Boswell was born August 28, 1906, in Gustine, Texas, in Comanche County, the son of John Sidney and Parrie Wyatt Boswell. He married Jessie Worley August 31, 1927 and she died March 12, 1985. He lived in Whitney most of his life. He was a farmer for many years. He was employed for 22 years as a bus driver, mechanic and maintenance man for the Whitney School System. He was a member of the Whitney Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include six children, Thomas Weldon and Betty Boswell of Waco, Rose Maxine Williams of Whitney, Johnnie Ruth and Hank Finley of Whitney, Betty and Bob Jean of Arlington, Virginia and Raymond Miller of Liberty and James Elden and Dorothy Boswell of Houston; a sister-in-law, Rachel Boswell of San Angelo; an aunt, Willie Wyatt of De Leon; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
