Maxine Williams, 85, of Pasadena passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015. She was born August 27, 1929 in Whitney to Irwin Thomas and Jessie Artelia Worley Boswell.
She grew up in Whitney and graduated from Whitney High School, living in Whitney for most of her life except for the last 18 years when she lived in Pasadena. On June 12, 1947 she married James Williams and he preceded her in death on January 31, 1983. As a special education teacher she taught in the Whitney ISD for 18 years. She was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church in Pasadena.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Larry Williams. Survived by her children, Terry Williams and Lori Wheeler; nine grand children, 7 great-grand children; a brother, Eldon Boswell and a sister, Betty Jean.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Whitney.
