Mrs. Agnes M. Fangman
Mrs. Agnes M. Fangman, 52, of 218 Gable street, died at 9:15 pm Wednesday at St. Francis hospital of encephalitis.
The former Agnes Friedman was born Jan. 10, 1900, in Luxemburg, Ia., the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Friedman. She was married Jan. 12, 1926, to Joseph E. Fangman. The couple moved to Waterloo in 1944 and have resided here since.
Mrs. Fangman was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rosary society of the church, Women Foresters, Catholic Daughters of America and the St. Francis hospital auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, LeRoy, 909 1/2 Lafayette street; Robert, stationed with the armed forces on Okinawa; Joseph Jr., 2130 Lafayette street, and Marvin, St. Joseph's seminary, Westmont, Ill.; three daughters, Lois, Kathleen and Mary Lou, all at home; four brothers, Leo and Edward Friedman, both of Luxemburg; Joseph Friedman, Farley, Ia.; and John Friedman, Oakland, Cal.; and four sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Schieltz and Mrs. Nicholas Rausch, both of Luxemburg; Mrs. Joseph Ries, Coggon, Ia., and Mrs. Rose Fortmann, Dubuque.
Funeral arrangements are pending at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes M. Fangman, 52, of 218 Gable street, will be at 9:30 am Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Fr. Raphael Grahl officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Fangman died at 9:15 pm Wednesday at St. Francis hispital of encephalitis. St. Mary's Rosary society will recite the rosary at 8:30 pm Friday at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home. The Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and the Third Order of St. Francis will say rosaries at 8:45 pm Friday at the funeral home. Another rosary will be recited at 9 am Friday at the funeral home by the Catholic Daughters of America.
