Casper W. "Cap" Hickam 77 years old, R.R. 1, Freedom, died Wednesday afternoon, February 14, in the Bloomington Hospital.
He as a retired farmer and former President of the Board of Directors of the Wabash Valley Production Credit Association.
Mr. Hickam was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and a Senior Deacon of the church.
He was a 50 year member of Freedom Lodge No. 466 F. & AM. and also a 50 year member of Freedom Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
He was born March 13, 1901 at Freedom, the son of Nicholas and Emma Burton Hickam.
He is survived by his widow, Martha Courim Hickam; son James Hickam, R. R. 1, Freedom; sisters, Adria (Mrs. Norman) Fender of Spencer, and Klea Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio; his granddaughter, Jennifer Hickam, and his grandson, James Hickam.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the West and Parrish Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Cole and the Rev. Don Lincicome officiated.
Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
