Dora married Arthur Proffer a few years after Jesse's death and they had a child, "Eddie", together in 1905. Eula spent her early childhood in the Cape Girardeau, Missouri area. By 1910 the family had moved over 1,000 miles away and settled in Billings, Montana where Eula finished her schooling after completing the eighth grade.
On May 21, 1916 at the age of 15 Eula married Francis James Connors in Billings, Montana. Their marriage license gives her age as "past 16". A little more than a year later they welcomed their first child William "Billy" and two years after that their second child Frances "Toots" was born in Montana.
By 1920 they were living in Big Horn, Wyoming and they moved to Spokane, Washington shortly after that. In 1925 they had their last child De Lores "Dee".
Eula was a homemaker; she was a member of and attended services at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, which was right around the corner from the family home in Spokane.
