William Henry Minshall was the eighth of ten children born to George Henry and Mary Ann Minshall. He was born at the family's Sugar Creek Farm in Walworth County, Wisconsin. William worked on the family farm until he married at the age of 22. William married Catherine Marie Rasmussen on June 18, 1908 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. William & Catherine had two children: Alice Rose Minshall and Harold William Minshall. They lived for a time in Richmond, McHenry County, Illinois where William ran a dairy farm. He also worked at a typewriter factory in Woodstock, McHenry County, Illinois. The family eventually moved to Union Grove in Racine County, Wisconsin. William was a long-standing member of the Masonic Lodge in Union Grove. William passed away after a short illness on October 6, 1948 at the age of 62.
