OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)
LaFONTAINE - William Raymond Speicher, 87, 1165 S. America Road, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday in Rolling Meadows Healthcare. He was born in Wabash County to the late William Homer and Georgia Mae (Schoby) Speicher. He married Charlotte M. Black on April 8, 1939; she survives.

He served in the National Guard. He was a lifetime farmer and also worked at Container Corp. and General Tire in Wabash. He enjoyed his livestock and was affiliated with the LaFontaine Sale Barn.

Additional survivors include sons, Phillip (Marilyn) and Russell D. (Sandra K.), both of LaFontaine, William Robert (Connie), Alexandria, and Richard L. (Judy), Marion; sister, Cleo Ruth Swayne, Napa, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Richard) McKenzie, Wabash, Denise (Gregg) Wood, LaFontaine, Kellie (Tim) Stoffel, Roanoke, Stefanie (Mark) Goodman, Marion, and Ron, Wesley and Christa (Todd) Kabrich, all of Alexandria; nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Services are at 10:30 a.m. today in McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main St., with the Rev. Doug Barton officiating. Burial is in LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the LaFontaine United Methodist Church Building Fund.
