Mary Ann Smith, 52, 809 W. 48th St., Marion, died Saturday at the Marion General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Lincolnville in Wabash Co.
Mrs. Smith was a retired inspector at the RCA plant. She and her husband also co-owned and operated john and Mary's Antique Shop, in Marion. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Lincolnville United Methodist Church and Local 1150 IBEW Union.
Surviving are her husband, John R.; two daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sheron) Copeland, and Mrs. Arthur (Nona) Thomason, both of Sweetser; three brothers, Clarence and Lloyd Speicher, both of Lincolnville, and Raymond Speicher, LaFontaine; two sisters, Mrs. Nigel (Ethel) Thompson, Marion, and Mrs. Samuel (Cleo) Swayne, Nanpa, Idaho and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Shawley Memorial Chapel, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, with the Rev. Edward Darnell officiating. Burial was made in the Garden of Memory cemetery, Huntington County.
