EDWARD LEONARD
Edward Leonard, sixty-two years of age, formerly of Garryowen, died in Mitchell, South Dakota, Monday morning at 9 o’clock. The body will be brought to Dubuque and burial will be made in the Garryowen cemetery.
Mr. Leonard is survived by his brother, Dr. J. J. Leonard, Chicago; his sister, Mrs. Anna Connolly, Dubuque and a number of nieces and nephews.
20170313: Ellen Elliot suggested the following correction: "FYI, Edward was enumerated as a one year old in the 1870 census, making 1871 birth year unlikely. Also, in 1900, his birthdate was reported as June 1869. St Patrick's Catholic Church in Garryowen perhaps as a baptismal record that would confirm birth date or year."
