Earl Stateler
MINNEOLA — Earl Stateler, 79, died Thursday at the Trego County Hospital, WaKeeney, after a long illness. Born Nov. 3, 1891, at Cullison, he married Nellie Mae Hinson June 17, 1916, at Minneola. He was a retired farmer and had lived here most of his life.
He was a member of the united Methodist Church, Minneola.
Survivors include the widow; sons: Robert and Edward, Wichita; Jim, Perryton, Tex.; daughters: Mrs. Victor Sidebottom, Dodge City; Mrs. Lavina Baker, Larue, Tex.; Mrs. Dwight Lobdell, Dodge City; Mrs. Clarence Schneidwind, WaKeeney; brothers; Charles, Hurdland, Mo.; Lloyd, 2911 Apple Lane, Hutchinson; sister: Mrs. Harry Raymond, Des Moines, Iowa; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the church: Rev. Dale Clare. Burial will be in the Minneola Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hulppieu-Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City.
