Virginia Maree Sidebottom, 95, died December 11, 2012 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City.

She was born on April 8, 1917 in Minneola, the daughter of John Earl and Nellie May (Hinson) Stateler.

She attended schools in Minneola and Ulysses.

Virginia married Otis Daniel Seemann on September 2, 1934. They later divorced.

On December 24, 1954, she married Robert Victor Sidebottom in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2012.

Virginia was an Avon Sales Representative for over 35 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dodge City, Order of Eastern Star, Rebekah's, Women of the Moose, and the White Shrine Mizpah #9 all of Dodge City.

Virginia is survived by a daughter, Virginia Mertens of Grand Junction, Colorado; a stepson, Robert Cash and a stepdaughter, Rebecca Savage both of Moscow, Idaho; one brother, James Stateler of Perryton, Texas; one sister, Joyce Schneidewind of Wakeeny; five grandchildren, Pamela Renfro of Ensign, Cynthia Linville of Bailey, Colorado, Dannetta Titus of DeSoto, Texas, Terry Seeman of Duncanville, Texas, and David Sullivan of Aurora, Colorado; 21 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband, Victor, Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Seemann, two brothers, Robert and Edward; two sisters, Lavina Malone and Gladys Lobdell; and one grandson, David Allen Davis.
