Evelyn George, 92, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at her home on Lakeway Drive.

The Funeral service will Friday, August 12, 2011, at 10am at the Bernard Church of God, 170 Stephens Ridge Road, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. James Small officiating and special music by Buddy Garner. Burial will be in Bernard Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST., Russell Springs, KY and after 8amCT, Friday, at Bernard Church of God.

Evelyn George was born April 4, 1919, in Russell Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late Susie Aaron Stephens and the late Charlie Stephens. She died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY, at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 6 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. George and four siblings, Colene Morgan, Mollie Blankenship, Atrie Stephens, and Attis Stephens.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Bernard Church of God.

She is survived by the following:
Two children: Morris (Betty) George; and Terry (Joan) George, both of Russell Springs, KY

Three grandchildren: Matt George, nashville, TN; and Renee (David) Smith and Laura (Chris) Godby, both of Russell Springs, KY

Four great grandchildren: Samantha Smith, Katie Smith, Carson Godby, and Calli Godby

Four sisters: Delma McQueary and Genice (Richard) Riggins, both of Russell Springs, KY; Joan Lowery, West Chester, OH; and Bettie Flanagan, Indianapolis, IN

One brother: Pete (Ruth) Stephens, Russell Springs, KY
