Came to the United States when she was 3 years old with her parent's and siblings from Eidsvoll Norway. Mrs. Anna Maria Hansdatter (Larsen) Aasgaard's Obituary (Mina (Aasgaard) Nysetvold's Mother) Mrs. Maria Aasgaard passed away at her home in Home Lake Township on Saturday evening, February 4, 1922 at the age of fifty-eight years, one month and twenty-two days. She had been suffering from cancer for a considerable length of time and had been seriously ill for the past 3 months. The deceased has resided in Home Lake township for the past thirty-seven years. Her husband Martinius Aasgaard having died eighteen years ago. She was one of the pioneer settlers of this section of Norman County and her demise is not only felt by the immediate family but by a large circle of friends and acquaintances as well. She leaves two sons and three daughters, Lawrence and Clarence Aasgaard, Mrs. (Julia) Sydney Aamoth and Mrs. (Bernice) Warner Johnson, all of Home Lake, and Mrs. (Mina) Ole Nysetvold of Twin Valley; two sisters, Mrs. J.J. Aasgaard of Long Beach, California and Julia Person of Lewis, Wisconsin., three brothers, L.H. Larson of Culton, South Dakota and Christ and Albert Larson of Osseo, Wisconsin. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. B.L. Opdahl, from the Wild Rice Church.
