Dorothy Marie Barker was born on November 29, 1940 to Walter Lee and Gladys Marie (Stewart) Barker. She was reared in the Lenora area and attended school at Vici. She lived in Vici and Woodward before moving into the Mooreland Heritage Manor.
Dorothy was a special unique person to all who knew her. Known for her teasing ways, she was very friendly and outgoing. She loved church and doing thing with others. She enjoyed being a help to others including her mother, or in the workshop, or the thrift shop. Dorothy showed pride in her awards for the Special Olympics, her painted ceramics, and her stuffed animals. She conquered many new challenges with her OARC family.
She is survived by two sister, Elma Louise Swartz and husband Lonnie of Woodward; Lois Ann Worsham and husband Les of Nacogdoches, Texas; two brothers, Willie Bill Barker; Charles Dean Barker and wife Margaret, all of Woodward; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Joy Faye Barker; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Barker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the OARC with the funeral home accepting the contributions.

Dorothy Marie Barker, 76 died Monday, October 30, 2017 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 3, 2017 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Vassar Cemetery.
