James Cobb is the eleventh person to be buried in Cornn Cemetery.

James Cobb was born in 1849 in Knox county Kentucky to John and Lurene Cobb. His father was a farmer and John followed in his Father's footsteps.

20 Nov 1872 John married Mary Catherine "Sis" Corn in Laurel County, Kentucky and the settled into housekeeping in Knox. Mary was the daughter of Matthew Dewitt Corn and his wife Nancy Stepp.

John and Mary had 12 children: William, Matthew, Sarah, Silas, John, Martha, Frank, Stephen, Elijah, Ellen, Hugh and Mary.

On March 9, 1915 James suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on the right side of his body. He died 3 July 1915 and was buried in the Cornn Cemetery.
