Information: Ella R. Wilson, 72, of Ripley, died Monday at CAMC, Memorial Division, after an extended illness. She was born July 2, 1911, the daughter of the late John and Martha Cooper Stanley. She was a housewife, a member of the West Ripley Baptist Church, and charter member of the Ravenswood Senior Citizens and a member of the Ripley Senior Center's quilting group. Surviving: husband, Harvey A. Wilson of Ripley; sons, Harvey Jr. of Florida, Henry W. of Leon, Douglas and Dave, both of Ripley, Robert R. of Dunbar; daughters, Helen Louise Casto of Millwood and Alice Virginia Simms of Melbourne, Fla.; brothers, John Stanley of Texas and George Stanley of Ohio; sister, Hester Morris of Chesapeake; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Parsons Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Eddie Henson officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Tabor Community Cemetery, Mason County. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
