BRIGHAM CITY - Ivie Wells Valcarce, our beloved mother, grandmother great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Monday, January 9, 2006 at McKay-Dee Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 11, 1926 in Preston, Idaho to Alfred and Bessie Taylor Wells.
Ivie married
Edward Valcarce
on May 31, 1947 in Preston, Idaho.
She loved dancing, watching movies, making memory books and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked at IRS and on the family mink ranch for many years. After retiring she spent three days a week going to the spa with her best friend and sister Syble. She cared deeply for her family. She was such a special grandma and a wonderful mother and wife. Her family will miss her greatly.
Ivie is survived by her husband, and three children: Debra (Martin) Meigs, Anchorage, AK; Christine (Steven) Dokos, Honeyville, UT: and Rocky (Patricia) Valcarce, Layton, UT. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister, Syble Baker, Ogden, and many nieces and nephews especially nieces, Maxine and Patty who were very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
Friends may call Thursday, January 12, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 to 11:40 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City
Graveside service will be Friday at 12:00 Noon at the Brigham City Cemetery
