Ruth A. Abulencia, 66, died January 23, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital. A Syracuse native, she lived in Cicero since 1961. She retired from Hall and Martin Law Firm in North Syracuse. Mrs. Abulencia was a member and past president of the Cicero Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and the Altar Guild, and golfed with the Sweet Swingers at Glenwood Golf Course. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Her granddaughter Kelly Shannon and her father Elwin Stevens predeceased her.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Charles, Sr.; mother Edith Stevens; children Kim (Brian) Shannon, Janet (Mark) Bauer, Chuck Abulencia, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Abulencia; grandchildren Michael, Zachary, Christopher, Jordyn, Julia, Sarah, and Jade; sisters Carol (Ron) Jennings, Donna (Brian) Kelley, and Susan (Jim) Waleski; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
