Vera is the third of nine children born to Alexander A. Harvey and Lucy B. Cox. She first married Robert Isaac Williams in 1928 and had two sons with him. She then married Charles Reed Imel in 1936. Vera loved poodles and raised them for many years. She developed diabetes later in life, and lost her eye sight and her lower leg.

Williams, Union Lake, Michigan ; two brothers, Floyd Harvey, Ohio, Dale Harvey, Michigan; four sisters, Opal Kowalski and Rachale Bloomquist, both of Ironwood, Michigan, Esther Leslie, Lakeland, Florida, and Naomi McCarver, Detroit, Michigan; eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm today at the Brookville chapel of Brewer Memorial Funeral Home, where services will e 2 pm Friday, with Rev. Thornson officiating.
