Funeral services for Mr. Hoy L. Clark, 79, of Allons, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Thomas officiating.

Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Allons.

Mr. Clark died Monday, January 18, at Overton County Nursing Home. He had been a saw operator in a furniture factory, a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and a member of Allons Baptist Church.

Born March 4, 1930 in Overton County, he was the son of the late Hoy Harrison and Ida (Ledbetter) Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Clark; and 2 brothers, Linzie Clark and James Harold Clark.

Survivors include his wife, Lina Clark of Allons; 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Terrie Clark of Crossville, Gerald and Amy Clark and Bobby and Sherry Thompson, all of Livingston, and Cody Clark of Rickman; a
daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Marvin Richardson of Allons; a brother, Walter "Monk" Clark of McMinnville; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Thomas Estep, Randy Estep, Bobby Bryant, Jason King, Wayne Peek, and Mark Neely.
