Gilbert Cournoyea Funeral Today
Funeral services for Gilbert Cournoyea, 66 years old, 869 Marshall ave., will be at 10 a.m. today in the O'Halloran and Murphy chapel, 215 W. Sixth st. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
He died Saturday in St. Luke's hospital where he had been treated since suffering a heart attack Wednesday.
He retired last July as a boilermaker with the Great Northern Railway after 43 years service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and Helpers, Local No. 3 and was feted by the membership on his retirement a year ago.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; one son, Clifford; a daughter, Virginia Erickson; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Hullsiek; and three brothers; Nelson and Norby, of St. Paul; and Wallace of Detroit Lakes.
