She was born at New Hamburg on July 22, 1923 a daughter of the late Emanuel and Clara Ann (Schlabach) Gerber.
She was a member of Grace United Church in Tavistock where she was a member of the United Church Women and the former Loyalty Bible Class. She had also been active in Stratford Christian Women's Study Group.
She married Henry Joseph Ruby at Waterloo on September 20, 1947. He predeceased her on August 22, 2003. Beulah is survived by her four children, Sheila and husband John Roppel of Bayfield, Philip and wife Shirley Ruby of R.R. 1, Tavistock; Pauline and husband Nick Kocher of Ayr, Rosanne and husband Wayne Nafziger of Brunner; seven grandchildren, Katie Wagler (Ryan), Jill Rempel (Kendell), Ross Ruby (Bethany), Adam Kocher (Laura), Dan Kocher (Richelle), Craig Nafziger (Alisha), Tasha Van Heyst (Nathan); eleven great grandchildren; her brother, Howard and wife Ada Gerber; four sisters, Margaret Ruby, Ellen Leis, Audrey and husband Harold Bender, Carol and husband Irvin Wagler; sister-in-law, Jean Roth along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Mandy Roppel on July 16, 1995; by brothers, sisters and spouses, Calvin and Marion Gerber, Willard and Gladys Gerber, Inez and Oliver Ramseyer, Helen and Lester and Nancy Yantzi; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy Ruby, Elton Leis, Wilfred Roth, Wilfred and Vivian Steinman.
A family visitation and celebration of Beulah's life was held in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. The Rev. Gail Fricker officiated. Interment was in Grace United Cemetery, Tavistock.
