Warren Odie Thompson, 55, of Rt. 2, Winfield, passed away suddenly Sunday Feb. 14. He was the son of Ethel Price Thompson and the late John Marion Thompson, a member of the Winfield Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Pearl Thompson, Rt. 2, Winfield; one daughter, Vida Lou Reed of Helenwood; five grandchildren; mother, Ethel Thompson, Oneida; four sisters, Mrs. Ruben Chitwood of Winfield, Mrs. Russell Stanley of Oneida, Mrs. George West of Puducah, Ky., Mrs. Darrell Bridges of Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted from the Winfield Baptist Church Tuesday, Feb. 16, with the Rev. Phillip Kazee officiating. Burial followed in the Chitwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Kenneth Claborn, Ovia Stanley, Halk Bowling, Rufus Madin, Lonzo Ellis and Donald Shoopman. Honorary Pallbearers were, Plateau Electric employees.
