He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late John and Stella Stewart Clutter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death three brothers, Gerald, Earl and Richard Clutter, and two sisters, Evelyn Brewer and Annie Howell.
Ed was a World War II Army Veteran and he was retired from Weirton Steel.
Surviving is his wife, Ora Hope Clutter of Georgia; two sons, Ed Clutter Jr. of Florida and John Clutter of Georgia; two daughters, Barbara Strosnider and Charolet Reed both of Georgia; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and a sister, Eva Stefl of East Liverpool.
Visitation will be today Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell. Evangelist Frank Higginbotham will be officafing.
Private burial will be held at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, W.Va.
