Child of John Finnell Met Death This Afternoon
The child of John Finnell, a painter, was drowned in the canal at Roscoe this afternoon. Finnell lives along the canal and the child, only three years old, was playing around a boat tied near the house. It is supposed to have fallen in the water when no one was near.
The body was found floating in the canal and Dr. Henderson was summoned. He made every attempt to revive the child, but at the hour of going to press it is believed to be dead.
Finnell is well known in Coshocton where he was working as a painter when the accident occurred.
