Wendell NORRIS, 89, Sebring, Fla., passed away Sunday at Royal Care, Avon Park, Fla.
Born in Rochester to Victor Leo and Minnie Alice Bowen Norris, he graduated from Richland Center in Fulton County in 1933. He married Helen L. Parker in Bourbon on April 19, 1941.
Mr. Norris was a farmer until 1970. He moved to Sebring, Fla., in 1977. He was a former member of Argos First Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church, Rochester. He was a member and deacon of Maranatha Baptist Church, Sebring, Fla., and a former member of Gideons International.
Survivors include six sons, Edward, David, Maynard, Stephen, Byron and Daniel; one brother, Manford, Wanatah; one sister, Betty Miller; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His funeral service is 11 a.m. today at Maranatha Baptist Church, Sebring, Fla. Burial is at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Fla. Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Gideons International.
