She was the mother of four children: two boys, nine and three years old, a girl six years old and a baby boy of five weeks. She was the daughter of Mrs. Al Vaughn living south of town.
Her body was brought to Walnut for burial and the services were conducted by the pastor of the Methodist church on Friday afternoon last. (Walnut Bureau, July 6, 1900, p. 5)
