About seven weeks ago Mr. and Mrs. Hoover, living south of town about two miles, were called upon by the giver of all good, to place to rest their oldest child. About a week ago another, a bright little boy, followed, and now two bright and winsome little girls are afflicted with the same disease--diphtheria. The lower limbs of both are now in a semi-paralyzed condition. Dr. Hanna is attending the children, and though he has only had them under his care about a week, he thinks they will recover soon so that they will be able to be about some, though it will be some time before they can use their limbs as freely as before.
