Mrs Lechie Day, 84, of Newton, died Friday in a Jasper Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM today in First Baptist Church in Newton. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under direction of J O Stringer Funeral Home in Jasper.
Survivors include two sons. N V Day of Jasper and Cecil W Day of Toledo; four daughters, Mrs Ruel Woods of Jasper, Mrs F D Andrews of Beaumont, Mrs Bert Mullins of Bryan and Mrs M W Simmons of Port Neches; three brothers, Polk and Tommie Hawthorn, both of Roganville, and Zora Hawthorn of Port Arthur; two sisters, Mrs Earl Norberg of California and Mrs Lizzie Hooks of Bleakwood.
