Theodore "Ted" Bontrager
Theodore "Ted" Bontrager, 73, of Goshen, formerly of Middlebury and Topeka, died at 2:35 AM on Thursday, July 28, at
Greencroft Health Care Center, Goshen. He was born on July 7, 1938 in Freeland, MI, to Daniel A. and Fannie (Kaufman)
Bontrager. Surviving is a sister, Edna (Chris) Schwartz of Sturgis, MI; four brothers, LeRoy (Sylvia) Bontrager of Boynton
Beach, FL, Edward Erie (Marcia) Bontrager of Elkhart, Omer (Sue) Bontrager of White Pigeon, MI, Daniel A. Bontrager of
Valparaiso. He was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, Katie Albrecht and Velma Mast, two brothers, Willis
and Ora Bontrager. He worked in shipping and receiving for 20 years at Mastercraft in Shipshewana and LaGrange. He
attended First Baptist Church in Goshen and enjoyed videotaping high school sports for different area high schools.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday July 31, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street
Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday August 1, also at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home. Services will
be conducted by Rev. James F. Schrock. A private family graveside service will be held later at Locus Grove Cemetery,
Finley, MI.
