COLBY — Dorothy B. (Aschenbrenner) Stephens, 80, died Thursday, July 28, 2011. She was born April 28, 1931, in Ellis to Philip and Rosa (Schuster) Aschenbrenner.
She is preceded by her parents and her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her sons, Chris (Judy), of Manhattan, Curt (Jackie), of Colby, and Gary (Brenda), of Manhattan; daughters, Connie (Bruce) Sloan, of Azle, Texas, Carol (Jerry) Behrends, of Topeka, Patty (Ken) Horinek, of Atwood, Pam (Tim) Mckee, of Colby, Gina Bullock, of Wichita, and Ashley (Joe) Steinlage, of Carey, N.C.; brother, Dr. Richard Aschenbrenner; 36 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Harrison Chapel, Colby. Vigil: 6 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the funeral home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetary, Colby. Memorials: Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and may be left at any Colby bank or Harrison Chapel.
